According to the national Delta Delta Delta website, “Delta Delta Delta Fraternity, founded in 1888, began as an organization concerned with the growth and development of the college woman and has evolved into a leader among sororities.”

The founding purposes of the sorority were to instill a sense of community and friendship among its members; encourage integrity, moral devotion and unselfish leadership and “to broaden the moral and intellectual life and assist its members in every possible way”.
